FAQ

  • Will I own my website?

Yes, you own all the content in your site -  the images, the words and the information. Depending on the platform that your site is built on, everything can either be exported or saved.

If for any reason you'd like to migrate your site away from our servies, we help you in that process. We have a very client friendly policy in that regard.

  • Will I be able to edit my own site?

My mission is to empower you in your business. I offer as much training as you wouold like in order for you to feel comfortable. There are also lots of videos that will help as well. Never hesitate to ask a question or seek help.

  • What is the difference between a custom website and a templated or pre-designed site?

Quite simplyy, the difference is the time it takes to build and unique elements needing to be created for the website.

In a templated or pre-designed site you choose from a variety of beautifully crafted site designs and then we insert your content, images and branding. A custom site is starting from a blank canvas.

We always add personal touches to every website so it has a unique look so that even a pre-designed / templated site doesn't feel "cookie-cutter" or bland.

  • Why not just get a site from one of those DIY companies

I won't speak ill oof other companies.

However in all honesty what I have found over my 21 years is that clients end up wasting time trying to figure out the other software, getting frustrated and then ending up with a website that doesn't truly reflect their business and their mission. That's when they come to me.

I've always believed that it's best to let the experts do what they do and pay them for their expertise.

Out of the hundreds of customers I've worked with I've only had a small handful who opted for DIY and were successful.

  • Where will my site be hosted?

A majoority of our sites are hosted with AWS servers, some of the most secure in the world. We also have a private VPS with Godaddy.

  • What software do you use?

    duda certified web design

I am a Duda Certified web designer yet I have a good working knowlsedge of many CMSs so I'm able to match your needs with the right solution.

That said, a majority of our sites are built using Duda. Although there are ooccassions when other software is necessaryy.  Duda is the consistentlyy ranks #1 and out ranks Wordpress, Wix, and Joomla in Google's Core Web Vitals.

Google’s Core Web Vitals are a collective of three metrics that measure the user experience performance of a page. They are a key part of page experience signals and by extension signals that can influence ranking in Google."

    — the key things to note here are that Duda really focuses on User experience and factors that influence Google ranking!

  • Will you work with other software?

    That depends. Yes and No.

The primary CMS software we use is Duda. That software solution fits MOST client's needs. It's optimized for search and for user performance.

If I find that your needs don't fit within that software we will look at other options.

Joomla is my 2nd choioce because of the level of customization that can be achievedd and the amount of functionality in the core software.

I generally do not work in WordPress, unless necessary due to the fact that WordPress requires so much more maintenance and actually increases the cost of the site. Additionally many clients have shared that they find it not to be very user friendly.

On the other hand, I have a few clients in Wordpress who need to stay in that platform due to the scpoe of their site and I'm happy to support them.

The other thing to note is the eCommerce option hands down is much simpler to use yet more options with our Oasis Duda platform.

I have extensive experience in Joomla, Wordpress and Shopify.

YES! I want to try something new!

  • What is the difference in logo options?

Drawing a logo and creating a brand involves a lot of time, research and skill.

The difference in our prices for logos depends on how involved of a process it will be. We can take a sketch or idea and bring it to life by digitizing and drawing in Illustrator.Depending on the complexity, this may not take as long as something designed and drawn from a blank canvas.

Additionally whether we design from scratch or from your drawing we will still need to choose colors and fonts.

  • Do I have to subscribe to a hosting plan?

Yes. You need to chooose a plan. It will be based upon:

    • The software platform
    • Functions and features (i.e. ecommerce)
    • How much management you need each month
    • Whether you are adding on an SEO package

I will present the options to you when we know the full scope of your needs. Our plans start at $29 +

  • What are the payment options?

    We have 3 options:

Option 1 - Pay in Full with a 5% discount (ACH only)

Option 2 - Pay in full with 2.5% discount for credit card payments.

Option 3 - 50% down as a deposit, 25% at the first design review and 25% once the website is ready to launch.
